The Word Doc produces writing that gets results. Here is an example of a solicitation letter the Word Doc wrote for a non-profit that yielded donations exceeding the targeted goal:

Dear Alliance Family and Friends:

Thanks to you all this past year, the Alliance has some wonderful accomplishments to share. These accomplishments continue to underscore the values by which we live.

  • In Bogota, Colombia, we helped rebuild a children’s home in desperate need of repair.
  • In Russia, we inoculated an entire orphanage of children and caregivers against Hepatitis B.
  • In eastern China, we provided a full year of support for 60 children in Sunbeam Village, a groundbreaking family style living project.

The Alliance unites one child with a family one at a time. In Changsa, Hunan Province, China, Ed and Christie Billings waited in a hotel conference room to embrace their new daughter, two-year-old LiangJun. LiangJun was immediately greeted by her new mom with “Mama loves Liliana,” now known as “Mary Liliana Tatiana Billings.” The miracle of Liliana’s adoption is a testimony to the hope the Alliance offers children and families every day, or as Christie puts it, “The miraculous child more than proliferates joy — with her every thriving step, she raises the consciousness of our spirit to realize the thousands of Lilianas left behind.”

Who are the Lilianas left behind? She may be an undernourished child in Russia, or a Chinese infant needing surgery for a cleft palate or a malfunctioning heart. Or you may want to give to a program of your choice.
